Andy Liddell and Laura Boland are the creative minds behind Melbourne electro-dance project Back Back Forward Punch (abv. BBFP), which was born out of a mutual passion for some of the modern disco/dance greats such as Goldfrapp, Groove Armada, Chromeo, Crazy P and Daft Punk.
BBFP set out to create lush electronic soundscapes with Andy’s meticulously layered assemblies of breezy percussion, robotic vocal hooks, deep bass rhythms and playful production, which are all then wound tightly in check by Laura’s powerfully seductive and sensual vocals.
Since 2012 BBFP have delivered an impressive catalogue of inspiring singles that have warmed the hearts of their global fan-base, and as they continue to experiment with new sounds, styles and musical influences, each new release takes us all on another invigorating romp through a musical wonderland full of joy and sadness, sparkles and dust, sunshine and rain.
In 2016, BBFP released their long-awaited debut ep ‘Tragic Lover’, which won them much online praise from all around the globe and across the Australian airwaves (thanks to Triple J), subsequently resulting in their biggest and most rewarding release project to-date.
What does the future hold for BBFP?……..You’ll just have to wait and see!
